GHRP-2
Also called Pralmorelin · GHRP2
GHRP-2 is sought for recovery, sleep and muscle-related goals by stimulating growth-hormone release. It can also increase appetite—useful to understand if eating more is the goal, and a drawback if you are trying to lose fat.

- 100 mcg
- How often
- Once daily, under the skin
- How long
- Five days
Nine subjects; measured hormone response, not muscle gains.

One reported combination
Reported use · unapproved regimen- Dose
- 100 mcg GHRP-2 per dose
- How often
- Twice daily; route not confirmed in excerpt

- Two weeks reported at posting
Used with CJC and other compounds. Not a validated cycle.
Neither example establishes an optimal bodybuilding frequency or long-term duration.
Appetite and recovery
A GH response does not answer every goal
-
Recovery goals
People seek better sleep and recovery between workouts.
-
More appetite
Human infusion studies found increased food intake, which may conflict with fat-loss goals.
-
Hormone response
A rise in GH is a laboratory finding, not proof of better recovery.
Why people pair it with a GHRH peptide
Some people report combining GHRP-2 with a product called CJC without DAC or Mod GRF. The aim is a stronger GH response. A hormone pulse is not proof of added muscle, better sleep or a repaired joint.
Hunger is part of the picture
Controlled human infusion studies found increased food intake. The size of that effect cannot simply be transferred to every injection schedule, but it makes appetite a relevant practical trade-off rather than an unrelated side effect.
What repeated dosing has actually shown
A small five-day study of daily injections found a smaller response over time and no IGF-I increase. That does not settle all longer schedules, but it undercuts claims that a larger pulse automatically means continuing benefits.
Model details: GHRP-2 · relative timing
Compare timing and buildup for this compound. The values are not blood concentrations or a measure of strength.
Shows a relative timing scenario; absolute blood concentrations are not calibrated.
Timing assumptions and sources
Pihoker 1998: terminal beta half-life in prepubertal children with short stature after 1 µg/kg IV over 1 min. Applying this to catalog SC scenarios extrapolates route and population.
One 1 mg input peaks at 1 relative unit after a single dose. Other amounts scale proportionally; overlapping doses add when accumulation is on. Different compounds use separate relative scales.
- Timing half-life used
- 0.55 hours
- Absorption half-life assumed
- 0.1375 hours
- Reference amount for the relative scale
- 1 mg
- Absorption half-life is assumed to be one quarter of the slower timescale (0.1375 h); it is not a measured absorption parameter.
- A single 1-unit input has a peak of 1 relative unit; scaling and repeated-dose addition are mathematical assumptions. This normalization is independent of the example dose.
- No matched adult SC availability, Tmax or dose-calibrated peak recovered.
- The pediatric IV 7.4 ng/mL peak must not be attached to a generic 0.1 mg SC dose.
- A single compartment does not reproduce the source biexponential disposition.
- Pihoker et al. 1998 GHRP-2 phase I in children
Ten children received 1 µg/kg IV. GHRP-2 disposition was biexponential: alpha 13.4/h, beta 1.3/h, terminal half-life 0.55 h, Cmax 7.4 ng/mL and AUC 2.02 ng·h/mL. The 50.7 ng/mL GH peak is a different analyte.

Common questions
Can GHRP-2 make you hungry?
Human infusion studies found increased food intake, although that does not predict the exact effect of an individual injection schedule.
Does a bigger GH pulse mean more muscle?
No. Hormone response and lasting muscle or recovery benefits are different outcomes.

Notes on the quick facts
- Main goal
- Desired outcomes go beyond what a hormone measurement proves.
- Appetite
- May work against a fat-loss goal.
- Popular pairing
- Combination reports cannot isolate GHRP-2’s effects.
- 1. GHRP-2 five-day study in healthy men
100 mcg subcutaneous daily for five days in nine healthy subjects; response attenuation, no IGF-I increase.
- 2. GHRP-2 and food intake trial
Randomized crossover infusions in lean and obese adults increased food intake; infusion findings are not a bodybuilding injection outcome.
- 3. Pihoker et al. 1998 GHRP-2 phase I in children
Ten children received 1 µg/kg IV. GHRP-2 disposition was biexponential: alpha 13.4/h, beta 1.3/h, terminal half-life 0.55 h, Cmax 7.4 ng/mL and AUC 2.02 ng·h/mL. The 50.7 ng/mL GH peak is a different analyte.
- 4. Pihoker et al.: pediatric GHRP-2 PK/PD
Ten prepubertal children; 1 microgram/kg IV; terminal peptide half-life 0.55 ± 0.14 hours and separately measured GH response.
- 5. Laferrère et al.: GHRP-2 and food intake
Randomized crossover SC infusion in 19 lean/obese adults; acute increases in food intake and GH, not long-term muscle outcomes.
