Peptides
Epithalon (Epitalon)
Also called Epitalon · Epithalone · Epithalamin
Epithalon, also called Epitalon, is explored for better sleep and healthier aging. Telomere research gives it much of its appeal, but longer telomeres in cultured cells are not proof that an injection adds healthy years to a person’s life. Sleep experiences and longevity claims also need to be judged separately.

FDA’s survey of marketed Epitalon use
Reported use · unapproved regimen- Dose
- 5–10 mg total daily in cited websites
- How often
- Daily; sources describe SC or oral products separately
- How long
- No single validated cycle established
FDA describes what sites advertise, not a recommended range. Routes and schedules from different products should not be mixed.

Ivko et al. sublingual biomarker study
Published example · product-specific- Dose
- 0.5 mg total daily as reported for the study formulation
- How often
- 3 sublingual sprays twice daily; Epitalon Solution-Spray Nanopep
- How long
- 20 days
20 women aged 40–50 with low melatonin-metabolite levels received AEDG; the study examined biomarkers, not demonstrated sleep improvement or longer life. Individual spray volume was not reported.
Do not borrow a 10 mg Epithalamin extract course and relabel it as proof for synthetic Epitalon. Lower online microgram schedules are not clinically established alternatives either.
Why people consider Epithalon
Sleep now, healthy aging over time
-
Better nights
Some readers hope for more restful sleep and better next-day function.
-
More healthy years
Others are drawn to the possibility of preserving health with age.
Why do people consider Epithalon?
Some want better sleep now; others hope to preserve health with age. Those are different goals. A more restful week is not evidence that telomeres changed, and a telomere result does not prove someone will live longer.
Has it been studied in people?
Yes, in limited research. Ivko and colleagues studied women aged 40–50 who mostly worked night shifts. Twenty women with low melatonin-related urine markers received the sublingual Nanopep formulation shown above; another 20 received placebo. Melatonin-metabolite and clock-gene measures changed, but the study did not establish better sleep or longer life. FDA also noted that safety data were not reported. This cannot validate an injected course.
The name mix-up behind many protocols
Epitalon and Epithalon are spellings of the synthetic peptide. Epithalamin is a different extract preparation. Much of the impressive-sounding historical human longevity story concerns the extract, so its amount cannot validate a synthetic-peptide cycle.
Why do online doses vary so much?
Commercial milligram courses and lower-dose community schedules coexist without a dose-finding trial settling the question. FDA’s review documents what was being marketed; it does not recommend those amounts. No validated minimum effective or best anti-aging dose follows from a calculator default.
What should expectations look like?
Keep sleep, functioning and long-term health claims separate. No treatment should be credited with preventing cancer, heart disease or dementia on the basis of cultured-cell telomere findings. Persistent sleep problems still deserve assessment for their own cause.
Model details: Epithalon (Epitalon) · relative timing
Compare timing and buildup for this compound. The values are not blood concentrations or a measure of strength.
Shows a relative timing scenario; absolute blood concentrations are not calibrated.
Timing assumptions and sources
Legacy 0.96 h is a scenario assumption; effects over days and telomere length are not elimination.
One 1 mg input peaks at 1 relative unit after a single dose. Other amounts scale proportionally; overlapping doses add when accumulation is on. Different compounds use separate relative scales.
- Timing half-life used
- 0.96 hours
- Absorption half-life assumed
- 0.24 hours
- Reference amount for the relative scale
- 1 mg
- Absorption half-life is assumed to be one quarter of the slower timescale (0.24 h); it is not a measured absorption parameter.
- A single 1-unit input has a peak of 1 relative unit; scaling and repeated-dose addition are mathematical assumptions. This normalization is independent of the example dose.
- Epithalamin extract, parentAEDG and modifiedamidate are distinct preparations.
- No route-matched parent-peptide human concentration calibration established in reviewed sources.
- Epithalon peptide induces telomerase activity and telomere elongation in human somatic cells.
Legacy 0.96 h is a scenario assumption; effects over days and telomere length are not elimination.

Common questions
Does Epithalon lengthen lifespan?
The reviewed evidence does not establish longer human life from synthetic Epithalon. Cell telomere results and historical extract reports are not equivalent to that outcome.
Is a microdose proven better than 5–10 mg?
No reliable human dose comparison establishes either as the effective longevity regimen. Different online claims should not be mistaken for a settled standard.
