Peptide vial
- Calculated concentration
- 2.50 mg/mL (2500 mcg/mL)
- Entered volume
- 2 mL
- Reconstituted
- Not provided
- Supplied discard date
- Not provided
Entered details only. This label does not establish sterility or stability and does not replace the original dispensing label.
The concentration calculation assumes the entered volume equals final solution volume. No shelf life is inferred from the diluent or preparation date. Copy storage and discard instructions from the specific product or pharmacy information. CDC's opened-multidose-vial guidance is not a stability determination for a newly mixed preparation. See CDC injection-safety guidance and the bacteriostatic-water label.
About this tool
This tool formats entered vial details and product or pharmacy instructions into a printable reference label. Its concentration is calculated from entered mass divided by entered volume, treating that volume as the final solution volume. It does not assign an expiry, verify the preparation, or replace the original dispensing label.
How to use it
- 1 Transcribe the product name and vial amount from the supplied information.
- 2 Enter the volume used for the concentration calculation and confirm the final-volume assumption against the product or pharmacy instructions.
- 3 Enter the preparation date and copy any supplied discard date and handling instructions. Leave the discard date empty if no date has been provided; do not invent one.
- 4 Compare the preview with the original instructions before printing or saving it. The printed label is a transcription aid, not a stability assessment.
Frequently asked questions
What should I include on a reconstituted vial label?
Record the product identity, concentration and its units, preparation date, and the storage and discard instructions actually supplied for that preparation. Include a lot number or other identifying details when available. Keep the original product or dispensing label; this tool cannot determine legally required labeling or fill in missing instructions.
How long is a reconstituted peptide vial good for?
There is no universal refrigerated shelf life for a mixed peptide vial. CDC guidance about discarding an opened multidose vial within 28 days unless its manufacturer specifies otherwise does not establish stability for a newly mixed product. Use the product or pharmacy instructions; the bacteriostatic-water label itself defers storage of reconstituted drugs to the drug manufacturer.
