Peptides
Dermorphin
Also called Dermorphin
Dermorphin draws interest as a very potent pain-relieving peptide. The practical distinction is that less pain does not mean an injury has healed. It acts on opioid receptors and carries a serious breathing-risk concern, so it should not be treated like an ordinary recovery or wellness peptide.

We do not convert surgical or animal experiments into an injection protocol for this potent opioid peptide.
A plotting input is not a safe starting amount. Slow or absent breathing, blue lips or inability to wake is an emergency; call emergency services and use naloxone if available.
Pain and recovery
Less pain does not mean an injury has healed
Dermorphin draws interest for potent pain relief. That goal is different from repairing damaged tissue.
The hoped-for relief
-
Quieter pain
Historical experiments studied reducing the experience of pain.
The unresolved injury
-
Repair and readiness
Pain relief does not establish tendon, joint or muscle recovery, or readiness for heavy training.
Breathing risk Dermorphin has potent opioid activity; calling it a peptide does not remove the risk of slowed breathing.
Why is it discussed for pain?
Dermorphin can strongly activate opioid receptors, and older experiments investigated pain relief. That makes it a different proposition from peptides marketed for collagen or recovery. A dramatic potency headline does not tell you whether a vial is accurately labelled or whether a dose is safe.
Does less pain mean better healing?
No. Pain relief can mask an injury without repairing it. Returning to heavy loading because something hurts less can therefore misread the outcome. The human pain-reflex work does not establish faster recovery of tendons, joints or muscles.
Why no common-dose chart?
The accessible human work involves historical specialist experiments, not a dependable home-use regimen. Animal potency ratios and supplier amounts cannot bridge that gap. Listing a cycle here would give unwarranted reassurance for a potent opioid.
What risk matters most?
Respiratory depression is the crucial concern. Avoid treating sedation as relaxation or a sign that a peptide is working. An unresponsive person or someone breathing slowly needs immediate emergency help; do not wait for a plotted half-life to pass.
Model details: Dermorphin · relative timing
Compare timing and buildup for this compound. The values are not blood concentrations or a measure of strength.
Relative timing from animal research; a human blood profile is not established.
Timing assumptions and sources
Replace legacy 0.48 h with the reported horse IM terminal 0.68 h only as an explicitly animal-derived relative scenario. IV distribution 0.09 h and terminal 0.76 h are distinct. Do not apply the horse 47–100%IM bioavailability to people.
One 1 mg input peaks at 1 relative unit after a single dose. Other amounts scale proportionally; overlapping doses add when accumulation is on. Different compounds use separate relative scales.
- Timing half-life used
- 0.68 hours
- Absorption half-life assumed
- 0.17 hours
- Reference amount for the relative scale
- 1 mg
- Absorption half-life is assumed to be one quarter of the slower timescale (0.17 h); it is not a measured absorption parameter.
- A single 1-unit input has a peak of 1 relative unit; scaling and repeated-dose addition are mathematical assumptions. This normalization is independent of the example dose.
- Do not borrow data for Lys 7-dermorphin fluorescent probes or dermorphin-ranatensin hybrids.
- A human intrathecal dose cannot calibrate a blood curve.
- Amino acid composition and sequence of dermorphin, a novel opiate-like peptide from the skin of Phyllomedusa sauvagei.
Legacy 0.48 h is unverified; intrathecal analgesic duration and labeled/modified dermorphin analog PK are not native systemic timing.
- Robinson et al.2015: Pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of dermorphin in the horse
Ten horses given dermorphin 9.3 ±1.0 microgram/kg IV and/or IM. IM terminal half-life 0.68 ±0.24 h; IV distribution 0.09 h and terminal 0.76 h. No human systemic calibration.

Common questions
Is dermorphin a safer natural alternative to opioids?
Natural origin is not a safety guarantee. Dermorphin itself has opioid activity, and breathing depression is a central concern.
Why is there no typical cycle?
A safe at-home course is not established by the research reviewed. A potency comparison, model default or seller schedule cannot establish one.
